Shipping & Pickup

Pickup

We offer pickup options for our Dachshund puppies at our home. This is a convenient option for local adopters who prefer to come and meet the puppy in person before taking them home.

Here are the key details about our pickup process:

Pickup Times
We have designated puppy pickup times available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm.

What to Expect
When you arrive for your pickup appointment, my wife and I will be here to greet you with a broad smile on our faces. We will go over the puppy’s health records, provide training guidance, and make sure you have everything you need before you head home.

We also encourage buyers to spend a bit of time interacting with the puppy during the pickup visit. This gives you a chance to bond and make sure it’s the right fit before the big day.

Transportation
If you’re driving to pick up your puppy, For your puppy’s comfort and safety, we recommend bringing a secure pet carrier or crate for the ride home.

Contact us if you have any other questions about our pickup process! We’re happy to provide any additional details.

Pet Shipping

We also offer shipping options for our Dachshund puppies. We understand that not all of our adopters are located near our home, so we’ve established a safe and reliable shipping program to get your new furry friend to you.

Here are the key details about our puppy shipping services:

Shipping Methods
We work with a variety of reputable pet shipping companies, such as Air Paw Cargo and Pup Express – to provide both cabin and cargo shipping options. Cabin shipping means your puppy will travel in the main cabin of the aircraft. We always ONLY use the cabin shipping as it is safe and less stressful for the puppy.

Both options include personalized in-flight monitoring, veterinary clearance, and ground transportation to and from the airports. The shipping company will also provide you with regular updates on your puppy’s journey.

Shipping Requirements
In order to ship your puppy, they must be at least 10 weeks old and have received their first round of vaccinations. We’ll also make sure your puppy is healthy, up-to-date on deworming, and given a clean bill of health by our vet prior to travel.

As the adopter, you’ll need to be available to receive the puppy at the final destination airport.

Shipping Costs
The total shipping cost will depend on the method chosen (cabin vs. cargo) as well as the distance traveled. On average, our adopters can expect to pay between $200-$450 for the shipping service.

We understand the prospect of shipping a puppy can be nerve-wracking. That’s why we only work with the most reputable and experienced pet transportation providers to ensure a smooth and safe journey for your new four-legged family member.
